The InterPetFest Fund – Join hands to protect abandoned pets at MallPetFest in August, 2025
1. Origin of the Fund
The InterPetFest Fund was first established at the International Pet Festival and Expo Vietnam in February 2025, an event that brought together leading businesses in the pet industry alongside exciting activities, contests, and educational workshops. The fund successfully raised 50 million VND, thanks to contributions from event organizers, visitor donations, and support from F&B vendors.
In addition to financial support, pet brands and exhibitors generously donated a variety of products. These contributions, combined with the monetary donations, were distributed to partner rescue organizations to help them continue their life-saving work.
At the upcoming Vietnam Pet Festival – MallPetFest edition, we aim to raise 15–20 million VND through visitor donations and 50% of the registration fees from pet games.
2. Purpose and Activities
The InterPetFest Fund is committed to supporting rescue organizations through financial assistance and increased visibility. By spreading awareness about animal welfare and responsible pet care, the fund helps build a more compassionate and informed community.
In addition to funding, the initiative encourages pet adoption and promotes responsible ownership, with the goal of improving the lives of rescued animals and the families that welcome them. Together, these efforts foster a stronger connection between people and animals in Vietnam.
3. Collaboration with Rescue Organizations
In its inaugural event in February 2025, the InterPetFest Fund partnered with five rescue organizations:

Have Paws
These organizations have rescued countless animals, performed life-saving actions, provided medical supports, conducted sterilization efforts, and successfully rehomed abandoned pets. Though each has a unique approach, they share a unified mission: improving animal welfare and positively impacting the community.
在 MallPetFest in August 2025, the InterPetFest fund focuses on supporting rescue organizations in Ho Chi Minh City, continues its partnership with SAR – Saigon Animal Rescue 和 Have Paws, providing them with vital support to continue their essential work.
- Sagion Animal Rescue – SAR
SAR is a non-profit organization dedicated to spaying and neutering dogs and cats. Additionally, SAR provides medical treatment for seriously ill pets whose owners cannot afford necessary care. The organization was founded by a resilient woman with a compassionate heart for abandoned dogs and cats. Despite managing the organization alone, she has taken in and cared for these animals, placing them in adoption centers where they can find loving homes. Furthermore, she has sustained the costs of their care and medical treatment for injured pets, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to animal welfare. Through her efforts, SAR continues to make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable pets in need.

2. Have Paws
HavePaws is a 100% PLN social project that has been legally registered for the welfare of companion animals in Vietnam. They focus on spaying stray/abandoned cats in specific areas. They solve the issues of stray/abandoned dogs and cats being captured for meat, HavePaws has implemented technology through a mobile app and organized rescue campaigns using the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) method. These efforts focus on densely populated areas with large populations of stray animals. After capturing and neutering the animals, they are taken to temporary rescue stations, where efforts are made to find new homes for them.
