FAQs
1. What is the age limit to attend a dogathon race?
We welcome runners at all ages.
Children under 5 can have an option to join InterPetFest free of charge, therefore there is no race-kit provided and no right to compete for race prizes, unless race ticket is purchased. Children under 5 must be accompanied by a parent/a relative adult during the whole race.
We encourage children under 12 to be accompanied by a parent/a relative adult during the whole race, and attend under their own risks.
2. How many dogs and humans can join up a team to race?
There is no limit to how many dogs and humans can join a team for the race!
Important Note: If your team includes more than 1 runner and 1 dog, each member will receive their own BIB, but all members will share the same team BIB number. In case of a win, only one runner and one dog from the team, both presenting the team’s BIB number, will be recognized as the official winners.
3. How do I qualify as the winner of InterPetFest Dogathon?
- You have the best runners’ finish time
- Your team with at least 1 dog and 1 human arrive at the finish line together (not being separated more than 1 meter)
- Your dog has to walk/run the whole race distance
- BIB number on you and on your dog are the same number
- Your dog has a vaccination certificate that has not expired.
- Not violate the event regulations
- Not being rejected by the organizer. The Organizer reserves all rights to decide the winner.
4. How can I register to participate?
To register for the Dogathon race, please visit our official website. Follow the instructions to complete the online registration form. Ensure that all required information is accurately filled out, read through race regulations, and submit the registration fee as instructed.
5. Can I register as a group?
Yes, you can register as a group. Please add additional members, whether human or dog, in Section 2 of the registration process and provide the necessary details for all the team members.

6. After successfully registering, if I cannot participate, can I transfer that race slot to someone else?
Yes and No
- Yes:
Transferring of BIBs is accepted 1.5 months before the race date and is only allowed to be transferred one time. Please contact the organizer for this case. When the transferred BIB is approved by the organizer, the new runner can compete to win the race
- No:
Unauthorized transfers: One and a half months before the race date, if you decide to withdraw from the race, the Organizer is not able to support changing your registration information to another person. Any swapping, selling, gifting, or transferring of BIBs to another person is considered as a violation of the race regulations to be the race winner
7. If I have successfully registered but cannot participate, will the organizers refund my payment?
No, registration fees are non-refundable. You can transfer your BIB to another person as explained above
8. Can my dog without a vaccination certificate participate?
No, dogs must have a valid vaccination certificate to participate in the race. This is to ensure the health and safety of all participants and their dogs. Please make sure to bring the necessary vaccination document on the day of the event.
9. What are the hygiene regulations during your race?
- Participants with dogs must bring biodegradable dog waste bags and are responsible for picking up dog waste immediately after the dog has discharged it to ensure environmental sanitation and track cleanliness.
- Please follow all posted signs and instructions provided by our staff.
10. Are there Food-Drink supporting stations during the race?
Yes, there will be food and drink stations along the race course at designated points. These stations will provide water and refreshments for both participants and their dogs. Ensure you hydrate adequately before and during the race.
11. Are there Medical stations during the race?
Yes, there are. The Medical stations will support light health issues for you and your pet. In case of emergency transfer needed, the organizer will have immediate help. However, all cost related to medical bills (yourself and/or your pets) are under your own account.
12. Where and when can I collect my race BIB?
Race BIBs can be collected at the registration desk, which will be open during the following times:
- Date: 21.02.2025 – Time: 3:00PM – 7:00PM (GMT+7)
- Date: 22.02.2025 – Time: 9:30AM – 1:30PM (GMT+7)
- At: International Pet Festival & Expo Vietnam
- Venue: Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC)
- Address: 799 Nguyen Van Linh Street, District 7, HCMC
Please bring a valid ID and your confirmation email/QR code to collect your BIB.
13. What is the race start time and where?
The race will start at:
- Date: 22.02.2025
- Time: 4 Km race starts at 4:00 PM (GMT+7)
- Time: 2 Km race starts at 4:15 PM (GMT+7)
- At: Canh Doi Park, Phú Mỹ Hưng, District 7, HCMC (Google Map)
- Please arrive at the start location at least 30 minutes prior to the race to allow for check-in and pre-race preparations.
- Race Park opens: 1:30PM
- Warm-up & Annoucement starts: 3:00PM
- Adwarding starts: 5:30PM
- After Party starts: 6:00PM (Optional program: Finding My Match)
14. Where and when is the Awarding Ceremony?
- Date: 22.02.2025
- Time: 5:30PM
- At: Canh Doi Park, Phú Mỹ Hưng, District 7, HCMC (Google Map).
15. Is there a storage area at the event?
Yes, there is a storage area where you can leave your belongings. The storage tags will match your bib number. However, please note that the organizers are not responsible for any lost items.
16. What are the prizes for the winners?
17. I'm a runner, I'm a pet lover but I don't have pets. Is there any way I can join?
Yes.
1. The organizer will arrange a certain number of friendly pets, sportive pets in the program : FINDING YOUR MATCHING PETS
– We will match you with an available dogs
– You will meet your matching pet at least 2 times to get to know, play and run/walk with the dog.
– If you are qualified and get the acceptance of the dog’s owner to lend you his/her dog, congratulations, you can register for the InterPetFest Dogathon.
*Please note the organizer only connect you with your matching dog, and does not carry out any responsibilities between you, the dog and the dog owner.
2. If there is a high demand of dog lovers (without dog) to join InterPetFest Dogathon, the organizer may consider to open non-dog runner registration with the same registration fee. However, there is no podium prize for this category.
18. What is "Finding My Match" program at After Party?
At InterPetFest Dogathon, We host an event “Finding My Match” – to find my future match, or a match for my pets at After Party. Single runner/ single pet will receive a hearty sticker. The sticker carries a meaning: I’m Single. We hope, single souls at InterPetFest Dogathon can find each other.
