INTRODUCING THE SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION FOR DOGATHON: LAWS FOR PAWS VIET NAM
1. Laws For Paws Vietnam: A Lifeline for At-Risk Dogs
At Laws For Paws Vietnam, their passion and mission revolve around one central goal: to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home at-risk dogs who have been abandoned, abused, or are in desperate need of medical attention. They are a 100% volunteer organization located in Vietnam, united by our commitment to making the world a better place for both humans and animals.

2. What They Do
Every day, countless dogs in Vietnam face heart breaking situations. Many are abandoned by their owners, left to fend for themselves on the streets with no food, shelter, or care. Others are victims of abuse and neglect, suffering physically and emotionally from trauma inflicted upon them by those who should have been their protectors. Some are born into harsh environments, where survival is a constant struggle against illness, malnutrition, and the dangers of the streets.

At Laws For Paws Vietnam, they step in where hope seems lost. They actively search for these at-risk dogs, often working closely with local communities and animal lovers who alert us to situations where animals are in need. Once they have located these dogs, their rescue efforts begin. They provide them with immediate care, ensuring they are brought to safety, where they can begin their journey of recovery.

3. Rehoming: Giving Dogs a Second Chance
Rescuing a dog is just the first step in a long process of healing. Many of the dogs they save arrive in poor condition, suffering from injuries, diseases, and the effects of long-term neglect. For these dogs, rehabilitation is vital.

Through patience, love, and professional guidance, they gradually help them regain their confidence. This process can take weeks or even months, but every small step forward is a victory. It’s incredibly rewarding to see a once-frightened dog transform into a happy, healthy, and loving companion.

Their ultimate goal is to find forever homes for every dog we rescue. They believe every animal deserves a loving family, and our adoption program aims to match each dog with the right home.

They carefully screen adopters to ensure they’re ready to care for a rescued dog. Many of the dogs in our care have special needs, whether due to their medical history or their past experiences. They work closely with adopters to make sure they understand the challenges and rewards of adopting a rescued dog and provide ongoing support to ensure a successful transition into their new homes.
The joy of seeing a once-abandoned dog happily settled into a new family is the most fulfilling part of our work. It is a testament to the resilience of these animals and a reminder that, with love and care, even the most traumatized dogs can thrive.
4, Why They Do
At the heart of everything they do at Laws For Paws Vietnam is our belief that every animal deserves a chance at a better life. We strive to make our community a safer, kinder place for both humans and animals.
Abandoned and abused dogs often pose a risk to public health and safety. Stray animals can spread diseases, and in their fear or pain, they may behave aggressively. By rescuing these dogs, we not only help the animals but also contribute to creating a more harmonious and humane environment for everyone.

Furthermore, Laws for Paws Vietnam believes that by rescuing and rehabilitating dogs, they can inspire others to take action. Through our work, we hope to raise awareness about the plight of abandoned and abused animals in Vietnam and encourage more people to adopt, volunteer, and support animal welfare initiatives.
5. How They Do It
Laws For Paws Vietnam operates entirely on the dedication of volunteers. From rescuing dogs off the streets to organizing medical treatments and coordinating adoptions, our volunteers do it all. We are proud to be a 100% volunteer-run organization, which means that every contribution—whether of time, effort, or resources—goes directly to helping the dogs in our care.
They collaborate with several well-known and trusted vet clinics across Vietnam to provide the best medical treatment possible for our rescued animals. These partnerships are vital in ensuring that every dog receives the care they need to recover from illness or injury. However, rehabilitation goes beyond physical care. Many of the dogs we rescue also carry deep emotional scars from abuse and mistreatment. They may be fearful of humans, anxious in new environments, or display behavioral issues stemming from their traumatic pasts. Their volunteers dedicate themselves to helping these dogs overcome their fears and rebuild their trust in people.

In addition to medical care, we have developed a strong adoption network. They work tirelessly to find the perfect homes for the dogs in our care, ensuring that they are adopted by loving families who are ready to provide the time, love, and attention these animals need to thrive.
